Terms & Conditions of Use – Rise Nordic Spa

These Terms & Conditions govern the use of all facilities at Rise Nordic Spa, operated by Eldermoor Ltd t/a Rise Nordic Spa.

By making a booking and using our facilities, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms.

1. Health & Safety Guidelines

Your safety is our priority. Use of sauna and hot tub facilities involves exposure to high temperatures and carries inherent risks.

1.1 Health Considerations

You should not use the sauna or hot tub without medical advice if you have:

  • Heart conditions or cardiovascular issues

  • High or low blood pressure

  • Respiratory conditions

  • Diabetes or circulation disorders

  • Any serious medical condition

Pregnancy:
Use of sauna and hot tubs during pregnancy is not recommended unless approved by a qualified healthcare professional.

Alcohol & Substances:
Guests must not use the facilities while under the influence of alcohol or any substance that may impair judgement or physical ability.

Hydration:
You must remain adequately hydrated. If you feel unwell at any point (including dizziness, nausea, or light-headedness), you must exit immediately and notify staff.

2. Sauna & Hot Tub Usage Rules

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, all guests must adhere to the following:

General Rules

  • Appropriate swimwear must be worn at all times

  • Shower before entering any facility

  • A towel must be used when sitting in the sauna

  • No glass or breakable items are permitted

  • Floors and surfaces may be slippery — take care at all times

Safety Guidance

  • Sauna use should be limited to 10–15 minutes per session

  • Hot tub use should be in moderate intervals to avoid overheating

  • Allow time to cool down between sessions

  • Exit immediately if feeling unwell

Prohibited Behaviour

  • No alcohol consumption before or during use of the facilities

  • No food inside sauna or hot tubs

  • No misuse of equipment (including sauna stove or controls)

  • Do not pour water on sauna stones in a way that may endanger others

3. Personal Care & Hygiene

  • Do not wear jewellery or metal items in the sauna or hot tub

  • Avoid creams, oils, or lotions before use

  • Bring a towel or hire one on site

  • Guests are encouraged to rinse after use to cool down

4. Booking, Cancellations & Late Arrivals

Bookings

  • All bookings must be made in advance via our booking system

  • All required health and safety information must be completed prior to arrival

Cancellations

  • 24 hours or more notice: Full refund or reschedule (subject to availability)

  • Less than 24 hours notice: No refund

  • No-shows: Non-refundable

Rescheduling

  • Must be requested at least 24 hours in advance

  • Subject to availability

Late Arrivals

  • Sessions will end at the scheduled time

  • No extensions or partial refunds will be provided

5. Group Bookings & Behaviour

  • The person making the booking is responsible for all members of their group

  • All guests must comply with these Terms

  • Disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate behaviour will result in removal without refund

6. Age Restrictions

  • Strictly over 18s only

  • By booking, you confirm that all members of your group meet this requirement

7. Supervision & Responsibility

  • Facilities are not continuously supervised inside sauna or hot tub units

  • Guests use the facilities at their own discretion and responsibility

  • All staff instructions must be followed at all times

8. Assumption of Risk

By using the facilities, you acknowledge that:

  • Sauna and hot tub use involves risks including overheating, dehydration, slips, and injury

  • You voluntarily accept all inherent risks

  • You confirm you are physically fit to participate or have sought medical advice

9. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Rise Nordic Spa and its staff are not liable for injury, illness, or loss arising from use of the facilities

  • This excludes liability arising from negligence or wilful misconduct

You are responsible for your personal belongings at all times.

10. Damage to Property

You agree to pay for any damage caused to facilities or equipment due to misuse, negligence, or failure to follow instructions.

11. Lost Property

  • Towels may be discarded daily for hygiene reasons

  • Clothing and swimwear retained for up to 3 days

  • Valuables stored for up to 7 days

Unclaimed items will be disposed of after the stated period.

12. Insurance

You are responsible for your own health and personal insurance.
We recommend consulting a medical professional prior to use if you have any concerns.

13. Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland.
Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Irish courts.

14. Severability

If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Rise Nordic Spa regarding use of the facilities.

16. Acceptance of Terms

By booking or using the facilities, you confirm that you:

  • Have read and understood these Terms

  • Accept all conditions outlined

  • Acknowledge the inherent risks involved

17. Booking Waiver Confirmation (Required)

By completing your booking, you confirm that:

  • You have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions

  • You understand the risks associated with sauna and hot tub use

  • You confirm you are physically fit to use the facilities or have sought appropriate medical advice
